About the role..
The Allied Health Assistant is an integral junior member of our therapy team, supporting clinicians in the delivery of high‑quality exercise and rehabilitation programs for clients. In this casual role, you will be based out of Angle Park, SA and will work under the guidance, coaching and mentoring of experienced allied health practitioners. This role contributes directly to safe, effective and person‑centred service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Program Support — Prepare, set up and assist with individual and group exercise sessions.
- Client Engagement — Provide supportive, motivating interactions to encourage client participation.
- Clinical Administration — Keep accurate session notes, records and equipment documentation.
- Safety & Quality — Follow all safety, infection control and risk‑management procedures.
- Team Collaboration — Work alongside therapists and contribute to team learning.
- Equipment Management — Set up, pack down and maintain therapy equipment.
- Professional Development — Participate in coaching, mentoring and skill‑building activities.
About you…
You’re a motivated Allied Health Assistant who thrives in a fast‑paced therapy environment and enjoy working directly with clients to support their functional goals. With a positive, team‑focused approach and strong communication skills, you contribute to a supportive and engaging clinical setting. A genuine commitment to improving client wellbeing underpins the way you work.
Organised and reliable, you follow clinical direction confidently and maintain a high standard of professionalism. You’re committed to developing your skills as you grow within the allied health field, and you’re available for regular weekend work to support consistent service delivery for our clients.
If you’re a Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology student, we welcome your application and are open to potential employment opportunities once you’re fully qualified, supporting your transition into professional practice.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or working toward completion).
- Experience supporting exercise or therapy programs (paid or placement) is desirable.
- Understanding of safe manual handling and infection control practices.
- Basic documentation and record keeping skills.
- Ability to work under direction of allied health professionals in a client‑centred environment.
- Clear, confident communication and a positive, proactive attitude toward clients and colleagues.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children’s Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Australian driver’s licence (P or full).
