Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The MCV determines in excess of 200,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, dealing with over 90 percent of all adult cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

About the Role

Lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team and help transform lives through Victoria's therapeutic court programs.

Moorabbin Magistrates' Court is seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to oversee the delivery of the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP) and Assessment and Referral Court (ARC) programs.





These specialist programs support accused persons and others involved in the court system who are experiencing complex social and personal challenges, including substance abuse, disability, mental illness and cognitive impairment. Through a client-centred and problem-solving approach, the programs empower individuals to engage in rehabilitation and achieve positive behavioural change.

Reporting to the Court Services Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of CISP and ARC, while supporting other programs, including Family Violence initiatives. You will provide leadership, supervision and support to a multidisciplinary team of case managers working with people on bail who present with multiple and complex needs.

In this rewarding role, you will:

- Lead the day-to-day delivery of the CISP and ARC programs.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to case managers.
- Manage and allocate resources to ensure responsive and effective service delivery.
- Maintain a client caseload and support complex case management.
- Build strong relationships with the judiciary, legal practitioners, court staff and community service providers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to program development.
- Support the operation of Family Violence, Koori Court and other therapeutic court programs as required.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding and professional development of staff.

About You

You will bring:

- Extensive experience in the assessment and case management of clients with multiple and complex needs.




- Experience in the leadership and management of health and/or social welfare staff.
- Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Sound knowledge of evidenced informed practice models and frameworks for working with multiple and complex needs, including those with a mental illness, intellectual disability, alcohol and other drug misuse, family violence, homelessness and/or acquired brain injury, as well as triage and waitlist management.
