Casual Chef

OSSO Steak & Ribs Miranda is looking for a casual chef to join our kitchen team.

The role will mainly involve preparing and producing desserts, fresh bread and pizzas, while also helping the kitchen team during service.

What you'll be doing:

Preparing desserts and sweet items

Making and baking bread

Preparing pizza dough, sauces and toppings

Cooking pizzas to OSSO standards

Completing daily prep and mise en place

Keeping your section clean and organised

Following recipes and portion sizes

Maintaining valuable food quality and presentation

Working closely with the kitchen team during service

Helping other sections when required

What we're looking for:

Previous kitchen experience preferred

Experience with desserts, baking or pizza is a bonus

Reliable and punctual

Valuable attitude and robust work ethic

Able to work well in a team

Able to work in a busy kitchen

Takes pride in the food they produce

Available for evenings and weekends

Most importantly, we want someone who is reliable, works well with the team and takes pride in what they do.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
