About The Role:

At Arcos Group, our Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical teams work together to deliver practical engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects. you'll be a vital part of that process, ensuring the quality and accuracy that underpins successful design.

Arcos are looking for 2 people to join our team, in Mooloolaba & Hervey Bay.

You'll enjoy a hands-on role carrying out geotechnician duties in accordance with relevant Australian Standards. Applying the principles of soil mechanics, rock mechanics and engineering geology, you'll help deliver reliable data that supports our engineers and clients to make informed decisions.

Duties will include:
Carry out field and laboratory tests in accordance with the appropriate test methods and Australian Standards
Calculate and prepare results for review
Undertake on-the-job training in test methods and procedures as directed by senior staff
Clean and maintain equipment and keep the work area tidy and protected




Liaise with internal staff and clients on testing methods and results
Report all non-conforming work in accordance with company policies and procedures
Apply company occupational health, safety and environmental procedures on every project
Maintain consistently high standards of quality and accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement

Experience Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in a geotechnical environment
A current Class C Driver's Licence
A current Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain prior to starting)
Strong attention to detail with a methodical, accurate approach to work
Positive communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
Enthusiasm, self-motivation and a genuine commitment to safety, quality and company standards
