Laneway is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Payroll & Finance professional to join their team.

This is a diverse role suited to someone who is confident managing payroll and finance responsibilities, with some additional involvement in HR administration, employment documentation and external workplace relations support.

Key responsibilities
Managing end-to-end payroll processing
Payroll tax and BAS
Same-day superannuation processing
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Invoicing, with invoicing processed through Great Plains
Staff expenses and employee-related financial administration
Bank reconciliations and general finance administration
Assisting with reporting and month-end finance tasks
Managing payroll records and employee-related financial information
Assisting with employment contracts and general HR administration
Supporting management with occasional employee and workplace matters
Liaising with external workplace relations and industry bodies on relevant employment matters




Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accuracy across payroll and finance functions
Outstanding Plains / Microsoft Dynamics 365
MYOB
Solid Excel and payroll/accounting systems experience

About you
Previous experience in payroll and finance/accounts
Strong understanding of payroll, payroll tax, BAS and superannuation
Experience managing invoicing, staff expenses and general finance administration
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Well organised and able to manage competing priorities
Comfortable working independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong Excel and accounting/payroll software skills
Some experience with employment contracts, workplace relations or HR administration would be an advantage
