Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from Wintel Engineers to support likely upcoming work within government. You will administer and support Windows server infrastructure across physical and virtual platforms, keeping systems secure, patched, and available. These are likely to be Canberra-based roles supporting operational and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Administer, support, and optimise Windows Server environments
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Support virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
Perform patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation
Monitor system health and resolve escalated Level 3 infrastructure issues
Automate administration tasks using PowerShell
Maintain configuration baselines, technical documentation, and change records

Required Experience
Proven experience administering Windows Server infrastructure in a medium to large setting
Robust knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy




Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
Scripting experience with PowerShell
Sound understanding of patching, backup, and system monitoring
Ability to resolve complex infrastructure faults independently

Desirable Experience
Prior experience within an Australian Government or similar secure setting
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure services
Familiarity with storage and backup technologies
Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or Azure Administrator

Security Clearance Requirements
Must be an Australian Citizen
Active AGSVA Baseline security clearance required

Working Arrangements
Primarily onsite in Canberra
