Position Summary – Yanala Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
As an Early Childhood Educator, you’ll support the daily care, learning and development of children in either our 0–2 or 3–5-year-old room. You’ll work with your team to create secure, engaging, and culturally rich experiences for our jarjums, helping them learn, grow and thrive in identity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide responsive care and culturally protected learning settings
Assist in implementing EYLF-based programming
Support the daily routines, health and wellbeing of children
Help embed Aboriginal culture and language in day-to-day activities
Document children’s observations and development
Work collaboratively with educators, families and community

Selection Criteria Essential
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)
Experience working with young children in early learning settings
Understanding of EYLF, NQS and inclusive practice
Cultural awareness and commitment to Aboriginal community values
WWCC, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
Desirable
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicant
Experience in Aboriginal community-controlled organisations
