Burton Civil Maintenance Pty Ltd is built on a strong legacy of experience within the civil sector, delivering major Intelligent Transport System (ITS) projects across Recent South Wales. Our work includes both the construction of new traffic signal installations and the reconstruction of existing intersections.

We are a growing team of dedicated professionals who take pride in delivering exceptional results and are now seeking an experienced Supervisor with proven experience in traffic signal construction to join our expanding team.

About the Role

Reporting to the ITS Manager, this role involves managing projects from conception to completion within a highly specialised field. You will lead a small team, coordinate inspections with certifiers, order materials and equipment, liaise with the TfNSW Project Manager, and oversee multiple site locations.

Key duties include the construction and reconstruction of assets such as Traffic Control Signals (TCS), Variable Message Signs (VMS), and Hazard Warning Signs (AWS, VSLS). Approximately 80% of the work will be night shift, typically Sunday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate site activities and personnel




Oversee traffic signal and pit and pipe installations
Act as the primary in office contact for coordination and issue resolution
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and project specifications

Essential Competencies
White Card
Current Driver Licence
Sound knowledge of TfNSW QA Specification TS101
Ability to interpret traffic signal drawings
Solid communication and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends
Traffic Signal experience (highly regarded)
