About the role

Kern Accountants is seeking a talented Tax Accountant to join our team in Townsville, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality tax services to our diverse client base. This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in taxation whilst contributing to the success of a growing accounting practice.

What you'll be doing
Preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, company's, trusts
Reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy
Staying current with changes to tax legislation and communicating updates to relevant clients

What we're looking for
Experience in Accounting, Commerce, or related field
Proficiency with accounting software packages and tax preparation tools including MYOB AE (Accountants Software)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Experience in a tax or accounting role within a skilled firm is highly desirable
Robust organisational and time management skills
