Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from Standard Operating Workplace (SOE) Engineers to support likely upcoming work within government. You will design, build, and maintain the standard operating environment, keeping the desktop build secure, consistent, and current across the fleet. These are likely to be Canberra-based roles supporting operational and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain the Standard Operating Setting for Windows devices
Develop and manage desktop images, drivers, and base application sets
Configure and manage Group Policy and endpoint security settings
Test and validate SOE builds ahead of deployment
Support operating system migrations and fleet-wide upgrades
Automate build and configuration tasks using scripting
Maintain configuration baselines and technical documentation
Required Experience
Proven experience building and maintaining a Windows SOE in a managed environment
Solid knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 image creation and deployment
Experience with SCCM, Intune,
and Autopilot
Solid understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
Scripting experience with PowerShell
Experience with driver management and hardware compatibility
Desirable Experience
Prior experience within an Australian Government or similar secure environment
Experience delivering large-scale OS migration programs
Familiarity with security hardening and configuration standards
Relevant Microsoft certifications
Security Clearance Requirements
Must be an Australian Citizen
Active AGSVA Baseline security clearance required
Working Arrangements
Primarily onsite in Canberra
