Senior Unix Administrator (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support Unix/Linux environments (RHEL, AIX, Solaris).
Manage VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and support cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Perform installation, patching, upgrades, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Automate routine tasks using Shell scripting and Ansible.
Manage system security, user administration, backups, and disaster recovery.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, network, and security teams to ensure high availability and operational excellence.
Participate in incident, change, and problem management following ITIL best practices.





Required Skills:
8+ years of Unix/Linux administration experience.
Robust expertise in RHEL, AIX, or Solaris.
Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash/KornShell) and Ansible.
Valuable understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSH), LVM, and performance tuning.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

RHCE/RHCSA, VMware VCP, or cloud certifications.
