Role Description This full-time remote role for a Software Engineer / Software Developer / Application Developer at Forum Economique des Marocains du Monde focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining web and application software solutions that support the organization’s digital initiatives. The person in this role will write clean, effective, and well-documented code, implement back-end services and APIs, and integrate data sources and third-party tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in solution design, reviewing requirements, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, performing code reviews, and optimizing performance and security.

The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to technical documentation, and continually improving systems through testing, refactoring, and adoption of best practices.

Qualifications

Robust foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles, including algorithms, data structures, and software design.

Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP),



with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).

Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs, working with web frameworks, and managing databases.

Ability to design, implement, test, and maintain applications in a collaborative environment, using version control systems (e.g., Git) and up-to-date development workflows.

Familiarity with software testing practices (unit, integration, and automated testing) and debugging tools.

Understanding of security, performance optimization, and scalability in web and application development.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
