An excellent prospect for a Senior Financial Accountant to join an Australian construction business on an upward growth trajectory. Your comprehensive background in financial reporting and compliance will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate results and meaningful insights to the business. As a result of strong year-on-year growth, the finance team is now seeking a highly motivated finance individual to help bolster its capabilities. This is a 5-days office position with parking available on-site.

Role Description

Reporting to the CFO, this hands-on position will focus on financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, job costing, project performance analysis, tax and audit compliance, and management reporting.

You will work collaboratively with the CFO and finance team to support the finance function, internal controls, strengthen finance systems, and effective operations of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
Support management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and analysis activities.
Prepare BAS and FBT returns and assist with other tax compliance.




Perform financial reconciliations
Manage General Ledger, project-based accounting, job costings, WIP & revenue recognition, and intercompany transactions.
Collaborate with the team on improvements to financial systems, implementation, and processes.
Provide support with financial audits and regulatory compliance.
Business partner with Project Managers, Divisional Managers and Estimators.

Qualifications And Skills
Relevant Bachelor’s degree and CA or CPA qualification.
Strong financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance experience.
Experience with Jobpac & MYOB is desirable.
Advanced Excel & Power BI experience necessary.
Excellent communicator and stakeholder engagement skills.
