Registered Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist - Private Practice

Gearing Up Psychology has been an established provider of psychological services since 2015 in the Newcastle and Maitland area.

We have a private practice in the beautiful town of Lorn, Maitland in the Hunter region of NSW and are seeking registered and/or clinical psychologists to join our team, to help with the referral load and to play a vital role in providing quality psychological services in our local community.

Contractor positions

Above average and competitive remuneration + superannuation commensurate with qualifications and experience. Further details / options discussed during interview.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Provide quality, evidence based psychological assessments to referred clients using a broad range of evidence based assessment tools.

Provide therapeutic sessions using evidence based interventions.

Complete electronic client notes and reports to an appropriate standard as outlined by the APS code of ethics / Supervisor standards.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records including progress notes,



assessments and reports

Write letters to other health professionals and external agencies where necessary

Ability to act in a skilled manner and work collaboratively with the team.

Qualifications & Experience - Essential

Fully AHPRA registered Psychologist

Active ABN

Relevant insurance including public liability and indemnity insurance

Working with children check
A beautiful, bright, quiet room in the heart of Lorn, Maitland NSW
Access to wide range of psychometric and neuropsychological assessment materials (WISC, WAIS, WIAT and behavioural questionnaires)
Administrative / reception to take care of payments, bookings and front desk
Access to practice Telehealth subscription for provision of Telehealth services.
