About the Opportunity

MAYDAY is partnering with a specialty underwriting business to recruit aUnderwriting Assistantto join their growing Sydney team in a newly created role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in underwriting, supporting a high-performing team acrossfarm insurance lineswithin a collaborative and supportive environment.

You will gain hands‑on exposure to underwriting operations and portfolio support, with structured training and a clear progression pathway.

Key Responsibilities
High-volume data entry and documentation management
Maintain accurate and compliant underwriting records
Support policy processing, closures, and system updates
Assist underwriter with day-to-day portfolio management tasks
Prepare and issue quotes, renewals, and endorsements within service standards
Support recent business submissions and retention activity
Build strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders
Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, codes, and internal policies
Provide transparent,



timely written and verbal communication

About You
A university degree (Finance, Economics, Business preferred but not essential)
1–3 year’s experience within insurancerelated roles
Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
A willingness to learn and develop a long-term underwriting career
