Hyperliquid Developer / Trader — Proprietary Trading Firm

Our client is a well-established proprietary trading firm with a solid track record across digital assets, currently generating significant returns in RWAs and DeFi. They are looking for a developer/trader who genuinely knows Hyperliquid inside out.

The role
Own the firm's Hyperliquid capability end to end — infrastructure, execution, and strategy implementation on one of the most unique venues in crypto
Exploit the intricacies of the exchange: order book mechanics, funding dynamics, vault/HLP structure, API behaviour, and the edges that only come from having traded and built on it directly
Work closely with the trading team in a rapid, entrepreneurial prop setting with real capital behind you

What they're looking for
2+ years hands-on with Hyperliquid in a proprietary trading environment — this is dev-leaning, but you need to understand the trading side,



not just the code
Deep practical knowledge of the exchange's quirks and mechanics; you know the tricks, not just the docs
Strong development skills building low-latency trading systems, market connectivity, and automation
Entrepreneurial mindset — someone who wants ownership of what they build rather than being a cog in a large organisation

Comp and structure
Structured for people who want to be on risk: competitive base with meaningful PnL-linked upside, rather than a big salary and a capped bonus
Ideal for someone who has watched their work generate returns for others and wants the capital and the upside to do it themselves

Location: Australia. On-site minimum 3 days per week, ideally 5.
