Overview

Our oncology practice in Melbourne, FL is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to provide outpatient chemotherapy care. Our role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no after-hours or holiday shifts. Immediate start is available for the right candidate.

Position Offers
Schedule: Monday–Friday
No after-hours shifts or holidays
Competitive compensation: $40–45 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and mix chemotherapy medications in accordance with established protocols
Obtain and record patient vital signs prior to, during, and following chemotherapy infusions
Initiate chemotherapy infusions and ensure accurate administration of treatment
Closely monitor patients during infusion and immediately post-infusion for response and tolerance
Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, side effects, symptom management, and infection prevention
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans




Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care, interventions, and patient responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Implement infection prevention and control measures specific to immunocompromised oncology patients

Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted Florida RN license or compact state eligibility
Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience, including chemotherapy mixing
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred; willingness to obtain oncology specialty certification is an advantage
