About the Role
We are currently seeking a Mature, reliable, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. You will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to ensure the smooth and professional day-to-day operation of the clinic.
Reception staff provide a high standard of customer service and administrative support to both patients and doctors.
Availability:
Shifts are rostered Monday through to Sunday, including evenings and weekends as required.
20 plus hours per week
Immediate Start.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner
Managing a high volume of patient phone enquiries
Booking appointments and accurately entering patient data
Booking care plans, health assessments, and related appointments
Generating invoices and processing payments
Processing Medicare claims
Maintaining doctors’ appointment schedules
Responding to and actioning doctors’ requests promptly
General administrative and reception duties as required
What We’re Looking For
Previous medical reception experience is essential
Understanding of Medicare item numbers
Experience with Best Practice and Tyro is advantageous but not essential
Reliable, punctual, and solid work ethic
Ability to multi-task and work independently in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills and professional phone manner
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
