General Maintenance Handyman

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on General Maintenance Handyman to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining our food manufacturing facilities, equipment, and general infrastructure to ensure a protected, clean, and productive workplace.

The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, and capable of working independently while also supporting the wider operations team.

Key Responsibilities
Stainless steel welding and general fabrication/welding repairs
Repair and maintenance of cool room and refrigeration panels
Basic plumbing repairs, including hoses, fittings and pipework
Repair and maintenance of trolleys, racks and other equipment
General building maintenance and upkeep across multiple facilities
Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
Operate a forklift safely to move equipment, materials and maintenance supplies
Liaise with contractors and suppliers for maintenance services and materials
Negotiate competitive pricing for maintenance materials and supplies
Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts and maintenance materials




Ensure the workshop and maintenance areas are clean, organised and safe
Complete maintenance records and report works completed
Report directly to the QA Manager and General Manager
Travel between company sites as required

About You To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven experience in a maintenance, handyman or facilities maintenance role
Experience in stainless steel welding and general welding
Basic plumbing knowledge
Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills
Current Forklift Licence
Current Australian Driver's Licence
