Legal Support Officers | Queensland Government Opportunities

Are you an experienced Legal Support Officer, Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator looking for your next chance?

Hays is currently partnering with a number of Queensland Government departments seeking skilled legal support professionals on a contracting basis to assist busy legal teams across Brisbane.

These opportunities sit across AO3 and AO4 levels and require full time office attendance. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting litigation, property or broader legal practices.

Key Responsibilities
Preparing and processing legal documentation and correspondence
Managing high-volume administrative workflows with accuracy and attention to detail
Coordinating documentation and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Monitoring deadlines and ensuring tasks are completed within required timeframes
Assisting with shared inbox management and general legal administration
Maintaining accurate file and records management practices
Providing administrative support to legal professionals and practice teams

About You




Previous experience in a legal support, legal administration or legal secretary capacity
Robust organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Experience working within a law firm, legal department or government legal environment
Conveyancing, property law or property administration experience will be highly regarded
Confident working within process-driven and regulated environments
