Build Your Culinary Career with a Leading Hospitality Employer A well-established hospitality venue is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join its professional kitchen team. This is an excellent prospect for a passionate chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace, leading kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional food quality.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure efficient kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and mentor junior team members. Sous Chefs typically act as the second-in-command of the kitchen and take responsibility for operations in the Head Chef's absence.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Supervise, train and mentor kitchen staff
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu development
Monitor stock levels, ordering and inventory control
Minimise food waste and maintain cost control
Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and WHS standards
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment




Assist with rostering and kitchen administration when required

About You
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef
Relevant Commercial Cookery qualification
Robust leadership and communication skills
Experience working in high-volume restaurants, hotels, resorts or fine dining establishments
Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality
Passion for mentoring and developing kitchen teams
