Casual Event Staff – Unplugged Moments

Unplugged Moments provides phone-free event security solutions (photo prevention pouches, phone collection, security patrols) for weddings, corporate events, and private functions across Melbourne.

We're looking for reliable, detail-oriented casual team members to join our crew.

What the job actually is: guests arrive, you say hi, pop their phone into a lockable pouch and hand it straight back. They keep their phone all night, it just can't be opened. On the way out you unlock it. That's genuinely it.

No security licence needed. No dealing with troublemakers, no heavy lifting. You're the first person guests see, so we mainly want someone warm and easy to talk to.

What you'll do:
Set up and manage pouch stations at events
Greet guests and explain the process clearly and warmly
Handle equipment carefully and track inventory accurately

What we're looking for:
Availability: Flexibility with hours,



with most events occurring on Friday and Saturday nights.
Attention to detail: You notice when something's off before it becomes a problem
Communication: Comfortable talking to guests and staying calm under pressure
Reliability: Punctual and dependable — live events rely on team execution
Transport: Own car needed, venue locations are all over Melbourne
Must have working rights in Australia
Hospitality or customer service background is a big plus

Pay:
Fluctuates per job, average around $28-$35 / hour (cash)
