MON - FRI -Casual Breakfast Chef – Join Our Growing Team

As our café continues to grow, Castaway Coffee Bar is expanding our kitchen team and looking for an experienced Casual Breakfast Chef.

You’ll prepare and plate dishes from our modern all-day breakfast and lunch menu while maintaining quality, consistency and efficient service in a busy café environment.

Key responsibilities:
Prepare and plate breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard
Work confidently across all kitchen sections
Follow recipes, portioning and presentation standards
Manage multiple orders during busy service periods
Assist with daily preparation and stock rotation
Maintain a clean, organised and food-secure workspace
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

What we’re looking for:
Previous experience as a breakfast or café chef
Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills




Excellent attention to detail and consistency
Sound knowledge of food-safety procedures
A reliable, flexible and positive attitude
Monday to Friday availability is essential, with occasional weekend shifts required

We offer consistent daytime hours, no late nights and a supportive team setting within a growing beachfront café in Surfers Paradise. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $36.00 per hour
