Furniture Design Studio is looking for a Draftsperson / Set-Out Technician to join our growing team in Balcatta.

We're specifically looking for someone with a cabinet making background. This role would suit either:
An experienced Cabinet Maker looking to get off the tools and move into a drafting and project support role
An experienced Draftsperson with a strong cabinetry and joinery background

Working closely with our project and production teams, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, set-outs and manufacturing documentation for a range of commercial and residential joinery projects.

Key Responsibilities
Producing detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation using Pytha
Preparing set-outs and construction details for factory production and site installation
Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications
Liaising with project managers, installers and factory staff to resolve design and production issues




Assisting with material take-offs and procurement requirements where required
Ensuring drawings are accurate, practical to manufacture and delivered on time

About You
Trade qualified Cabinet Maker or equivalent industry experience
Strong understanding of commercial and residential joinery construction
Experience using Pytha, or the ability to quickly learn
Ability to read and interpret architectural and consultant documentation
Robust attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Positive communication skills and a team-first attitude
