As a fitter and machinist, you will learn core skills significant in the metals and engineering industry. To begin, you will undertake basic skills including mechanical cutting, thermal cutting, general machining, shaping and joining metal, and general machinery fitting. You will then progress to more specialised areas of knowledge such as CNC machinery and computer-aided drafting.
