We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters and Maintenance Fitters for busy engineering workshops and manufacturing plants. You will handle routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and precision assembly of heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
Assemble, fit, and align mechanical components to strict tolerances.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
Operate workshop tools safely including lathes, mills, and drills.
Maintain a clean,
protected work area and follow WHS guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
Trade Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting, Fitting and Turning, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a heavy engineering, manufacturing, or production workshop.
Robust mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and gearboxes.
Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.
