Maitland Hospital is a major Rural Referral Hospital providing services to the expansive Lower Hunter Region. It opened its doors in a new facility in January **** and provides a broad range of services in a comfortable and modern environment.
What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of this position is to provide medical care and support, as part of a multidisciplinary team that is consistent with the level of clinical competency and experience of the appointed Trainee. Medical Officers will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to their level of competence to deliver high quality anaesthesia services to patients of Maitland Hospital.
Qualifications - External
* Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
* Recent experience in Anaesthesia at senior resident level with a satisfactory to excellent report of clinical practice from the Supervisor of training or delegate.
* The demonstrated capacity to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills and judgement and expertise.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) as defined in the Australian Health Practice Regulation Agency (AHPRA) English language skills registration standard.




* Evidence of continued career development with a demonstrated motivation to complete the ANZCA initial assessments and commitment to achieving specialist status in Anaesthesia.
