MindChamps Early Learning & PreSchool is seeking an experiencedDiploma Room Leaderto join our team at our Parramatta NSW location.
This is afull-time positionthat offers the opportunity to lead, mentor and inspire a room of children whilst managing a team of educators.
As Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, nurturing and safe learning environment that supports the holistic development of each child.
This role is crucial to delivering our educational philosophy and ensuring the highest standards of care and learning outcomes for our students.
You will work collaboratively with families, staff and leadership to foster a community of learning and growth.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage daily room operations, ensuring compliance with the National Quality Standards and all relevant legislation
Plan, implement and evaluate engaging educational programs that reflect each child's individual learning needs and interests
Supervise, mentor and support educators within your room, providing guidance on best practice pedagogical approaches
Build and maintain strong relationships with families through regular communication, observations and progress reports
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment that supports children's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development
Ensure all documentation, records and assessments are current, accurate and in line with organisational policies
Collaborate with the leadership team to implement centre-wide initiatives and continuous improvement practices
Foster positive relationships with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team culture
Maintain appropriate ratios and supervision practices at all times
Identify and respond to children's individual learning needs, including those requiring additional support
What we're looking for
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent nationally recognised qualification (minimum requirement)
Demonstrated experience working as a Room Leader or in a supervisory capacity within an early childhood education setting
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff
Leadership and mentoring capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Sound understanding of child development, behaviour management and inclusive practices
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Working With Children Check (valid) or willingness to obtain one
Ability to plan and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences
Solid organisational and time management skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment
