About the Role
As an Assistant Planner, you will support the maximisation of sales and profitability through inventory management and planning activities. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across Buying, Marketing and retail operations while helping ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor sales performance, stock levels and changing market trends
Support stock allocation, replenishment and stock transfers across multiple brands and product categories
Manage replenishment processes to ensure strong in-stock availability and fulfilment outcomes
Assist with inventory consolidation across stores to maximise stock productivity
Support forecasting of core programs and liaise with suppliers and vendors
Maintain planning tools including WSSI and Buy Sheets
Prepare weekly reporting and performance analysis
Assist with supplier purchase orders and contract management to ensure timely stock delivery
Work closely with key stakeholders on promotions, campaigns and long-term planning initiatives
Support seasonal planning and budget requirements
Analyse consumer trends to support buying and inventory decisions
Complete post-season reporting and category analysis
Create and maintain vendor packs
Assist with markdown analysis and promotional event planning
Prepare ad hoc reports and provide business insights as required
About You
You’re highly organised, analytical and thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment. You enjoy working with data, building relationships and finding opportunities to drive results.
You’ll Bring
Previous experience in planning assistant, allocations or a similar retail support role is desirable
Robust analytical and numerical capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
A proactive “make it happen” attitude
Ability to adapt and work in a dynamic environment
Collaborative approach with solid interpersonal skills
Reliability and accountability with a willingness to take direction and learn
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel proficiency
