TEACHER LIBRARIAN
Position Type:Full time permanent
Hours / FTE: 1.00 FTE

hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
have full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)
comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
Criteria:
have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
provide evidence of qualifications in a specialised faculty
able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community
relevant qualifications as a Teacher Librarian (or secondary teaching qualifications with a robust background in library management/digital pedagogy)




a forward-thinking mindset with strong knowledge of research methodologies andAI in education
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Innovation & Digital Literacy: Teach research skills, media literacy and the critical/ethical use of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Champion Student Extension:Lead, mentor, and empower students - includingHigh Potential Learners- by coordinating involvement in enrichment programs such as Write a Book in a Day, da Vinci Decathlon and Debating
Foster a Culture of Reading: Cultivate a deep, curated collections and engaging reading programs
Lead an Innovative Learning Hub:Transform the library space into an energetic, collaborative and future-focused centre for agile teaching and learning.
Work collaboratively with Leaders of Learning & teaching staff to partner with curriculum reform to drive resourcing.
