We're working with our client seeking a Quality Engineer – Mobile to join a high-performing product team within a major enterprise ecosystem.
In this role, you won't just be executing tests, you will have the autonomy to shape their test automation infrastructure, enhance continuous integration (CI) systems, and explore non-functional testing domains like accessibility, performance, and security.
Operating within a highly collaborative product model, you will work side-by-side with development teams to design automated test cases, troubleshoot complex issues, and confidently champion quality standard decisions for major releases.
What You'll Do
Drive Automation & Infrastructure:Build, maintain, and expand mobile automation scripts, test suites, and CI/CD pipelines.
Champion Quality Strategy:Define end-to-end test strategies across functional levels (Unit, Integration, E2E, UAT), managing device and OS fragmentation with smart coverage plans.
Explore Beyond the Basics:Dive into non-functional testing, including mobile accessibility (WCAG), performance, and security vulnerability scanning.
Collaborate & Lead:Work closely with cross-functional agile teams to refine engineering processes and lead technical go/no-go decisions for platform releases.
Continuous Improvement:Research, evaluate, and introduce modern testing tools to continuously elevate our overall testing approach.
Experience

Enterprise Track Record:6+ years in enterprise QA environments, with specialisation in mobile applications and mobile back-end APIs.
Mobile Native Automation:Hands‐on experience writing native mobile automation scripts using XCUI and/or Espresso.
Coding Proficiency:Strong programming skills in languages such as Kotlin, Swift, Java, or similar.
Technical Toolkit:Proficient with BDD frameworks, Git, container technologies, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and mobile network debugging tools (e.g., Charles Proxy, Proxyman).
The Mobile Mindset:A thorough understanding of mobile‐specific challenges, including backwards compatibility, offline behavior, caching, battery impact, and upgrade/migration flows across physical devices, simulators, and emulators.
Leadership & Collaboration
Release Confidence:The technical authority and confidence to lead go/no-go decisions for application deployments.
Process Driver:Proven ability to improve quality engineering processes and elevate agile team collaboration.
Communication & Documentation:Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a knack for using cooperative tools like Miro, Jira, and Confluence.
Education:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
