Wellways are seeking a team of compassionate and resilientDisability Support Workersto support participants withintense, high needs.
This role is ideal for someone experienced, calm under pressure and committed to providing safe, person-centred supports.
About the Role
You will provide support to participants with complex physical and psychosocial needs, supporting their safety, dignity and quality of life.
Supports may take place in the home and community and require strong boundaries, emotional awareness and teamwork.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing respectfulpersonal careand daily living support
Building trusting, caring relationships through consistent and compassionate support
Accurate documentation and communication with the wider support team
Shifts & Rostering
Buddy shifts provided to start(if required) for a safe and supported onboarding
Weekends, evenings and overnight shifts available
Rotating roster, flexible shifts available
About You
You bring acaring and compassionate approachto supporting people with disability and arereliable, dependable and committedto consistently showing up for participants.
You are comfortable workingovernight and weekend shiftsand have a genuine willingness to learn, with training provided.
Any previous experience you may have either working with or those shaped by your own life experiences are highly valued, these can also include those of a carer/parent, if this sounds like you, we have the perfect prospect right here, with us.
Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to maintain professional boundaries are essential for success in this role.
Pre-employment requirements:




Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
A current valid Driver's Licence and an insured and registered vehicle
Police Records Check
Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online certificate
Minimum Qualification in Certificate Level 3 (desirable)
