About the role - This is a Maximum Term - 12 Month Contract
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality early education and care within a safe, inclusive, and nurturing setting.
The Successful Applicant Will
Demonstrate a strong understanding of child safety principles and practices
Promote the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children
Always maintain professional boundaries and ethical behaviour
Actively contribute to a culture of child safety within the service
This position will be based at our Children's Services (Scallywags Long Day Care and Preschool) facility located in William Street.
The centre provides a high level of education and care and as the Early Childhood Educator you will contribute to making the service a point of difference from other child care providers.
The position will work alongside a team of professionals responsible for room management, child health and safety, education and planning and enriching children's lives through play-based learning.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working to the qualification.
A working knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and ability to develop and implement a high-quality educational program.
A working knowledge of National Quality Standards, Education and Care Regulations and National Law.
Experience in a similar role in an Education and Care setting.




Experienced in the provision of a quality educational program for children aged 0 to 5 years of age.
The ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Current approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management training.
Current approved Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025) and National Child Safe Training.
Able to comply with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation **** through the provision of a Working with Children Check clearance.
This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,****** - $1,****** per week + 12 % superannuation
Position Status: Maximum Term - 12 Months - Full -Time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm on a rotating roster and rostered day off every four weeks
