Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a motivated individual to join Fitzroy River Water as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain nationally recognised trade qualifications while developing practical skills and experience in a supportive team setting.
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will learn to maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, chemical dosing equipment and other plant and machinery.
You will receive on-the-job training whilst completing the requirements of your Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship.

A positive team player with good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Committed to completing apprenticeship training and developing practical skills.
Interested in working with tools, machinery and mechanical equipment.
Reliable, safety-focused and able to follow instructions while showing initiative.
Basic numeracy,
literacy and problem-solving skills.
To be eligible for this role, applicants must be
Aged 15 years or older and no longer at school.
Able to meet citizen, residency, and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship.
In possession of a C Class Driver Licence (Minimum Provisional).
Able to complete a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
Rockhampton Regional Council Traineeship & Apprenticeship opportunities are made available with the assistance of government funding.
