About the Role
Based at our Lane Cove Community Access HUB and as a Community Access Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants both in the community and at our day program.
You will primarily provide 1:1 support while encouraging independence, community participation and skill development.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals.
Delivering active support that promotes independence and choice.
Assisting participants to build and maintain meaningful social connections.
Implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
Safely supporting participants who display behaviours of concern.
Managing behaviours proactively and safely within the community and while transporting participants.
Providing safe transport to and from community activities using a company vehicle.
Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the wider support team.
Who We're Looking For




Experienced supporting individuals with behaviours of concern.
Confident implementing restrictive practices in accordance with Behaviour Support Plans and organisational policies.
Knowledgeable in Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practice.
Engaging, enthusiastic and able to motivate participants.
Emotionally resilient, calm under pressure and able to respond professionally in challenging situations.
Reliable, proactive and committed to delivering exceptional support.
Comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative team member.
Availability Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Previous disability support experience.
Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours.
Understanding of Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practices.
Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and confidence driving participants.
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid & CPR.
