Mount Ridley College is a Prep to Year 12 college in Craigieburn, Victoria, offering curriculum across the junior, middle and senior years with a focus on flexible design and community partnerships.
The College operates four Mini Schools: Early Years (Prep - Year 4); Junior Years (Years 5 - 7); Middle Years (Years 8 and 9); Senior Years (Years *******).
An extensive senior leadership team supports students, staff and families in each Mini School.
Facilities include Learning Neighbourhoods, music spaces, a multipurpose room, gymnasium, canteen, library, and administration areas.
The Early Years family of languages (Italian and Japanese) is supported by a dedicated Learning Hub.
A Community Hub on the Early Years site connects refugee families with the community, offering English language programs and cultural diversity projects.
The Junior and Middle Years networks provide flexible learning spaces, laboratories and ICT facilities, with dedicated Learning Neighbourhoods and Learning Hubs to support teaching and learning.
The Willandra and Landale spaces host specialised facilities for senior students, languages, professional learning, and partnerships with sister schools internationally.
In ****, a two-storey building hosting a theatre, arts spaces, and classrooms was added to support Year 10 students, with a 300-seat theatre and other performing arts spaces.
Roles and responsibilities include teaching, planning and program delivery, with various expectations for range 1 and range 2 classroom teachers and responsibilities for student learning and school improvement.
The role emphasises collaboration, data-informed practice and professional learning.
Selection Criteria
SC1Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum,



including the ability to teach literacy and numeracy and respond to student learning needs.
SC2Demonstrated experience in planning high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact on student growth.
SC3Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
SC4Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and ability to establish team-oriented relationships to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.
SC5Demonstrated alignment with Department values and commitment to ongoing professional learning.
Responsibilities
The role may include direct teaching of groups or individuals, development and evaluation of curriculum, attending meetings, camps and excursions, and supervision duties as required.
Who May Apply
Teachers registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area.
