The Opportunity
Working closely with experienced practitioners, you will advise a diverse client base across a broad range of commercial matters.
The role offers plenty of variety and hands-on involvement, including:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range ofcommercial agreements and contracts
Advising onbusiness sales and acquisitionsand other corporate and commercial transactions
Acting oncommercial leasingmatters
Providing practical advice on commercial risk, regulatory and compliance issues
Advising onprivacy and data-related obligations
Preparing legal opinions and delivering commercially focused advice directly to clients
Assisting with commercial disputes and dispute resolution where required
Working collaboratively with lawyers across the firm's complementary practice areas
Developing strong relationships with business owners and commercial clients

This is an opportunity to build a broad commercial practice rather than being confined to a narrow area of work.
About You
You will be an Australian-admitted solicitor with approximately2-4 years' post-admission experience, ideally gained within a commercial or general business law practice.
You will also bring:
Solid experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Exposure to business transactions, commercial leasing and general commercial advisory work
Strong commercial judgment and an ability to identify and manage legal risk
The ability to provideclear, practical and commercially minded advice
Strong drafting, research and analytical skills
Excellent communication and client-facing capabilities
Strong attention to detail and file management skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
A collaborative approach and an interest in working within a close-knit team
Experience with privacy and regulatory compliance matters will be well regarded, while exposure to commercial disputes, court matters or alternative dispute resolution would also be advantageous.
