About the Role
Sydney Southwest Private hospital is currently seeking a motivated and passionate Administration Officer who is looking to step into a rewarding career and join our Front Reception team on a fulltime basis.

Sydney Southwest Private Hospital's focus is to provide their patients with world-class healthcare.
For over 20 years our dedicated team of healthcare professionals have provided care to patients in greater western Sydney.
Sydney Southwest Private Hospital has 84 patient-beds and provides a large range of medical and acute services including; seven operating theatres, Angiography suite, 10 bed Intensive Care Unit as well as a Day Surgery Unit, Mental Health Unit, Oncology Department as well as pharmacy and radiology services.
In collaboration with a large range of accredited private specialists Sydney Southwest Private are leader in comprehensive range of medical and surgical specialties including, but not limited to, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, ear nose and throat, general and plastic surgery, gastroenterology and endoscopy and gynaecology, bariatric surgery, urology and mental health services
Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient and professional, and courteous administrative support to patients, visitors, clinicians and hospital staff
Deliver exceptional customer service through effective communication in person, over the phone and via email
Manage patient and departmental enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
Perform accurate data entry,



maintain electronic and paper-based records, and ensure documentation is completed in accordance with hospital policies and privacy legislation
Coordinate bookings, admissions and other administrative processes as required
Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain effective filing and record management systems to support departmental operations
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the efficient delivery of administrative services
Prioritise completing tasks and meet deadlines in a face-paced healthcare setting
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and enhance administrative processes and patient experiences
Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handing sensitive patient and organisational information
Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably within a healthcare environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, clinicians, and other stakeholders
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Proficient computer skills,



including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new systems
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and delivering a positive patient experience
Ability to maintain confidentiality and hand sensitive information with discretion
