Senior Coffee Machine Technician
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced senior technician to join our Belrose workshop team.
You'll ensure every new machine leaves our workshop performing to both our high standards and manufacturer standard, as well as applying your technical expertise to service, diagnose and repair a wide range of domestic and commercial espresso equipment.
It's a genuinely varied role: workshop preparation, fault diagnosis, occasional on-road support, and direct involvement in how we work with manufacturers on new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities
Workshop and repairs
Commission, configure and quality test new espresso machines and grinders prior to delivery
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, and carry out preventative maintenance, overhauls and warranty repairs
Replace, configure and calibrate components including pumps, boilers, valves, flow meters and electronic control boards
On-road and customer support
Provide occasional on-site breakdown support, technical and diagnostic support and troubleshooting for customers who need hands on assistance beyond the workshop.
Ensure our network have the most relevant information on repair, maintenance,



product specifications and other relevant information so they can best support their customers
Support our Australia wide network of authorised service agents with complex diagnostics and repair advice both on the phone and in person
Manufacturer liaison, R&D; and reporting
Prepare detailed error and fault reports for manufacturers to support warranty claims and product improvement
Feed internal insights back to manufacturers to inform ongoing R&D; and new product development
Ensure all new and existing models pass strict R&D; standards, and implement processes to manage and support this internally
Stay current on new product releases and manufacturer specifications, and share updates internally with strong file management skills
Training and records
Share technical knowledge and hands on training with internal technicians, sales team and the wider network as new products and updates are introduced
Ensure that the technical team are current in their knowledge set, certifications and identify areas for training and growth
Complete accurate service reports, repair documentation and parts records.
Ensure that internal documentation and record keeping is kept at a high, current and accurate standard.
Support inventory management and maintain a safe, organised workshop
About You




You're an experienced technician from either the coffee or transferrable skill industry with a methodical approach to diagnostics and a strong mechanical aptitude, sound electrical and hydraulic skills, and the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals.
You communicate clearly, whether you're training a customer, briefing a colleague or writing up a report for a manufacturer, and you take genuine pride in your workmanship.
Qualifications and Experience
2 years+ experience servicing commercial espresso machines, catering equipment, or similar electromechanical equipment
We welcome applicants with transferable trade skills from adjacent industries, including small appliance repair, plumbing, electrical work, or refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance.
If you have robust diagnostic aptitude and hands on repair skills, we'd love to hear from you even without a coffee specific background
Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Appliance Service, Refrigeration or a related discipline (preferred, not essential)
Current Australian driver's licence
