Role Summary
The ReportingBusiness Analyst (Tech BA – Reporting) provides specialist business analysiscapability across data‐intensive reporting and analytics initiatives within theCollections and Customer Assist Programs.
The role isaccountable for translating complex reporting, data migration, and downstreamdata requirements into explicit, actionable artefacts that enable accurate,scalable, and trusted reporting outcomes across various systems and dataplatforms associated reporting and insight solutions.
Operating as anembedded member of a delivery squad, the role partners closely withProductOwners, Solution Engineers, Business reporting teams, Data Platforms, anddownstream data consumersto ensure reporting solutions meet business,regulatory, and operational expectations.
Role Purpose
Delivertrusted, timely, andactionable reporting outcomesthat support business and regulatorydecision‐making.
Act as the bridge between businessneeds and technical delivery for reporting and analytics.
Ensure reporting requirements areclearly defined, traceable, and aligned to data standards, qualityexpectations, and platform constraints.
Enable scalable and sustainablereporting solutions through strong data analysis, data mapping, anddocumentation practices.
KeyResponsibilities
Reporting &Data; Analysis
Profile and analyse medium-largeand complex datasets to support reporting, analytics, reconciliation,



andregulatory outcomes.
Define, validate, and maintaindatamappings, reporting logic, and reconciliation rulesfor data migrationand downstream reporting.
Identify, investigate, and documentdata quality issues, gaps, and root causes, including remediationoptions and dependencies.
Support impact assessments forreporting and data changes across releases, migrations, and platformtransformations.
Requirements& Delivery
Elicit, analyse, and documentbusinessand technical requirementsrelated to reporting and data outcomes.
Translate requirements intoJirauser stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artefacts(e.g. datamapping, lineage, rules).
Support sprint delivery throughclarification of reporting scope, assumptions, dependencies, andconstraints.
Ensure reporting requirements aretraceable,testable, and alignedto delivery objectives and regulatoryexpectations.
StakeholderEngagement
Act as a key liaison betweendelivery squads andBusiness reporting, and Data Platform teams.
Collaborate withProduct Owners,Squad Leads, Solution Engineers, Testers, and Downstream Consumerstoensure shared understanding of reporting outcomes.
Participate in working sessions,design discussions, requirement walkthroughs, and reporting‐focusedforums.
Support communication of reportingchanges, impacts, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
Governance &Assurance;
Ensure reporting requirements alignwith agreeddata, platform, architectural, and security standards.
Contribute to documentationrequired forgovernance, approvals, audits, and change processes.
Support release readiness activitiesby validating reporting changes prior to go‐live.




Assist with the creation andmaintenance ofdata lineage, artefacts, and knowledge transferdocumentation.
Delivery Context
Embedded within theDataReporting Squadoperating in theCollections / Customer Assist ART.
Supports initiatives acrosstheCollection Migration Art and Enterprise Customer Solution Programs,with a strong emphasis on downstream reporting and data impacts.
Operates in ascaled Agile /SAFe environment, contributing to sprint planning, refinement, anddelivery ceremonies.
Engages with bothonshore andoffshorecontributors where applicable.
Skills &Experience;
Strong experience as aTechnicalBusiness Analystin data‐heavy or reporting‐focused environments.
Strong analytical skill and haveexperience in delivering medium complex data projects with a strong focusondata quality, lineage, and reconciliationbetween legacy and newsystems.
Experience definingdatamappings, reporting logic, reconciliation rules, and data lineage.
Advanced inSQL, Python &Alteryx; and Excel.
Advanced documentation skills,includinguser stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artefacts.
Strong stakeholder managementskills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical andnon‐technical audiences.
Working knowledge of Agile deliveryand tools such asJira and Confluence.
Experience in working with WBC datawarehouses (EDW, SGD, GDW and DDEP/ADAPT).
Exposure todata warehousing andmodelling concepts(e.g. star and snowflake schemas).
Experience in collection data /credit risk data
Familiarity withETL/ELTpipelinesand reporting data flows (e.g. SSIS, cloud‐basedorchestration).
Exposure tocloud data platformssuch asGCP and/or Azure.
Experience infinancial services,regulatory reporting, or large‐scale enterprise transformationinitiatives.
Familiarity withAgile / SAFeways of working.
Cloud certification (e.g.GoogleCloud Professional Data Engineer) considered highly beneficial.
