About The Role
As a casual Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
Casual pool opportunities are available in:
Emergency Department (ED)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Neonatal ICU
Special Care Nursery
Perioperative Services (Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics, Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy)
Dialysis
General Ward Nursing (Medical/Surgical, Paediatrics, Specialty Wards e.g., Burns Unit)
Primary and Community Health
Each site offers a supportive team environment and a variety of clinical areas to match your experience and interests.
As a Casual Registered Nurse, You Will Assess, Plan, Implement, And Evaluate Care In Collaboration With Patients And The Multidisciplinary Team.

This is a flexible opportunity to broaden your experience while contributing to high-quality patient care.
Please note: NSLHD casual pool staff are expected to work a minimum of one shift a week to maintain their position in the pool.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Extensive post registration clinical experience within the acute care setting within chosen specialty.
Demonstrated effective communication skills with patients, carers, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Demonstrated commitment in providing person-centred and culturally responsive care.
Basic computer literacy and demonstrated ability to use electronic health information systems.
This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
