National Masonry is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Wacol, Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to play a key role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and continuous improvement across our production facility.
Working closely with the production team, you will help minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability, and ensure our plant operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime
Complete scheduled maintenance activities and equipment inspections
Troubleshoot issues across conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and production machinery
Support equipment upgrades, installations, and improvement projects
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency
Maintain accurate maintenance records and report completed works
Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues quickly and safely
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with WHS requirements and company procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
About You
You're a practical and solutions-focused tradesperson who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll bring:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, or similar
Experience working in a masonry, concrete, building products, or manufacturing workplace is essential.
Experience in manufacturing, production, industrial, or heavy equipment environments
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with preventative maintenance programs
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Strong focus on safety and quality
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a busy environment
