About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Warehouse 2IC
to join our team in a fast-paced food distribution environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance staff supervision, operational efficiency, and step up as Acting Warehouse Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the team in daily warehouse operations.
Act as
2IC
, stepping up as Warehouse Manager when required.
Liaise with
Sales, Customer Service and Transport
for smooth communication.
Promote teamwork, communication, and a positive workplace culture.




Assist the Operations Manager with safety, compliance, and productivity.
Support stock control: cycle counts, stocktakes, and adjustments.
Ensure accurate picking and dispatch using the
WMS
.
About You
Experience in warehouse/distribution (food industry preferred).
Valid forklift licence
and proven forklift operating experience.
Strong leadership skills to supervise, motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication and cross-department liaison skills.
Knowledge of warehouse processes, safety standards, and WMS.
Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable in a rapid-paced environment.
