A day in the life of a Boilermaker at IC... involves:
Welding and fabricating structural steel
Maintaining our boilers and pressure vessels
Fabrication repairs to our Locomotives and rail network
Interpreting engineering drawings to meet specifications for repairs and current builds around the Sugar Mill and Locomotive Shed
Assist with welding, fabrication and repairs with our trailer and cane bin teams
Apart of a team which is open to teaching and sharing ideas to be successful and provide quality workmanship together
What you bring to IC...:
Trade qualifications in Boiler Making
Mig Welding Experience (GMAW)
Stick Welding Experience (MMA)
Experience in heavy industrial advantageous
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Safety First attitude and a commitment to quality




Working and Heights and Confined Space Certificates
