We are seeking an
experienced Remedial Façade Engineer
to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in façade remediation and project management skills. Responsibilities include delivering remedial façade solutions that meet client requirements within agreed project timeframes and budgets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating building façade defects, preparing high-quality technical reports, developing remedial solutions, and managing projects from initial inspection through to construction completion.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake detailed inspections and condition assessments of building façades.
Investigate façade defects, concrete deterioration, corrosion, water ingress, cracking, and structural issues.
Prepare explicit, accurate, and professional technical reports
, including condition assessments, defect investigations, dilapidation reports, remedial recommendations, and engineering specifications.
Develop practical and cost-effective remedial engineering solutions in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
Prepare repair scopes, technical specifications, tender documentation, and construction drawings.
Manage remedial projects through all phases, including investigation, design, procurement, contract administration, construction, and project close‐out.
Coordinate with clients, architects, strata managers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
Conduct site inspections and quality assurance inspections during construction works.




Monitor project budgets, programmes, and deliverables while maintaining high technical and professional standards.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Demonstrated experience in remedial engineering and façade engineering.
Proven experience writing detailed engineering reports to a high qualified standard.
Applicants should be capable of producing well-structured, technically accurate, and client-ready reports with minimal supervision.
Strong project management experience, including coordinating multiple projects, managing clients, consultants, contractors, budgets, and project programmes.
Sound knowledge of façade systems, concrete remediation, waterproofing, structural defects, and building diagnostics.
Excellent understanding of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and remedial construction practices.
Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills are essential.
The role requires the preparation of professional engineering reports and regular communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. A high level of English proficiency is a mandatory requirement.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
