Your Position at St John of God
We currently have multiple Casual Enrolled Nurse positions across our Berwick and Frankston Hospitals.
Locations
St John of God Berwick – supporting our medical, surgical and rehabilitation units.
St John of God Frankston – supporting our inpatient rehabilitation and palliative care services.

You will become an integral member of a nursing team, providing holistic patient care in collaboration with our medical professionals and allied health teams for patients at St John of God Berwick, their families and significant others.
This care will be guided by a working knowledge of hospital policies, including OH&S;, Infection Control, Waste management and Quality Improvement.
The Position
Assist in planning, delivering and evaluating patient care, involving the patient in care decisions where possible.
Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within both the department and throughout the hospital.
Work within scope of practice and seek support from senior nurses when required.
Support and supervise caregivers and students as requested.
Contribute to the achievement of hospital operational objectives.
Participate in patient assessments, including risk assessment and management, history taking and developing comprehensive nursing care plans. Ensure risks are documented, patient education is provided and appropriate interventions, referrals are facilitated.
Document care provided concisely and accurately.
Administer medication in accordance with scope of practice, statutory and organisational guidelines.
Qualifications




You will have a registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse and have a minimum of 12 months recent experience in an acute care setting (excluding any placement hours) working across medical and/or surgical units.
Experience in rehabilitation nursing, in addition to medical and/or surgical experience, will be well regarded.
You will demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well‐developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi‐disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits
Enrolled nurse salary: $***** to $***** per hour (casual loading included) plus 12% superannuation.
As a casual employee, you can salary package a percentage of your earnings each pay period.
