Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia. LLD focuses on supporting the development and ongoing implementation of suicide prevention and community wellbeing programs in the regions which we operate while looking for opportunities to grow Lifeline's services in geographical areas where they do not currently exist.
LLD encompasses Lifeline Centres in Hunter region, Central Coast, Eastern Suburbs-Bondi, Recent England North West, Northern NSW, Geelong and South West Victoria, Northern and Western Melbourne. Our specialised and targeted servicesoperate nationally via a telehealth model.
About the Position:
As a Crisis Support WorkplaceTrainer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining consistency and best practice in high-quality crisis support. You will empower Lifeline Direct's Crisis Support volunteers and employees with the skills, confidence, and best-practice approaches needed to provide exceptional support to people in crisis.
In this rewarding role, you will:
Work as a trainer & assessor to administer the delivery of the Crisis Supporter Workplace Training (CSWT) for voice for both volunteers and employees.
Mentorand supportCrisis Supporters (both volunteers and employees), working collaboratively with Centre staff and the Centralised In-shift Supervisor (CISS) to foster capability, confidence, and professional growth.




Developand deliverimpactful professional development sessions to support our Crisis Supporters to maintain and improve their skills and practice.
Champion training excellence by holding and maintainingLifeline Australia Trainer annual accreditation requirements.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Hold current Training & Assessment qualifications (Certificate IV TAE or higher).
Currently registered with Lifeline Australia as an accredited CWST Trainer.
Be an active accredited Crisis Supporter with a minimum of 100 hours on the phones.
Strong organisational skills.
Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality improvement, Equal Employment Opportunity and Workplace Health & Safety.
Demonstrated high level of professional ability, flexibility and capacity to work calmly and constructively in emergency situations.
Demonstrated understandingand commitment to Lifeline Australia and Lifeline Direct voice crisis support policies & procedures.
Commitment to working as part of a team supporting Crisis Supporters.
Sound communication and written skills enabling you to deliver constructive feedback to staff, Crisis Supporters and students.
