LINK Community & Transport is seeking a reliable and caring Domestic Assistance Cleaner to provide high-quality cleaning services in clients' homes.
This is more than a cleaning role. You will help older people, people living with disability and clients who may be vulnerable to maintain a safe, comfortable and welcoming home environment while supporting their independence and wellbeing.
About the role
You will travel to clients' homes and provide domestic assistance services in line with each client's approved service plan. Your responsibilities will include:
General household cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
Completing services safely, respectfully and within the allocated time
Providing friendly and professional customer service
Respecting each client's dignity, privacy, culture, choices and home
Identifying and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns or changes in a client's wellbeing
Reporting any concerns relating to possible abuse, neglect, exploitation or unsafe living conditions
Following infection control, manual handling, chemical safety and workplace health and safety procedures
Maintaining professional boundaries and client confidentiality
Communicating delays or changes to the LINK office promptly
Keeping equipment clean, safe and well maintained
Completing required records and documentation accurately
About you
You will be dependable,
respectful and comfortable working independently in clients' homes. You will understand that many of our clients are older, living with disability or may require additional care and consideration.
You will also have:
Previous domestic or commercial cleaning experience, preferred
A caring, patient and respectful approach
Strong time-management and organisational skills
Valuable verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A commitment to client dignity, choice, privacy and safety
The physical capacity to safely perform cleaning duties, including bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and repetitive movements
A current driver licence and the ability to travel between clients' homes
Mandatory requirements
National Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
NDIS Worker Orientation training
Evidence of the right to work in Australia
Any other screening or training required for work in aged care and disability services
