St Andrew's College is a world-class University College within the University of Sydney, providing 400 residential students breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. We cater for up to 500 events a year, from VIP lunches for 2 guests, up to 400 sit-down dinner guests.
The College is seeking a Chef/Cook to support the day-to-day operations of the kitchen through bulk batch cooking and food preparation. The role will work across a 7-day roster, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the flexibility to accept additional shifts as and when they become available.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation and cooking of bulk batch meals
Food preparation for functions
Receiving, storing, handling, sorting and distributing food items




Ensuring the kitchen is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition
Implementing all hygiene and Health & Safety regulations
The successful applicant must have:
Commercial Cookery qualifications (or equivalent to Australian standards)
Current experience working in a high-volume food service venue, function centre, hotel, restaurant or other commercial kitchen environment
Possess a team player focus and able to work towards College goals and objectives
Ability to follow directives and a willingness to learn recent skills
Have full working rights in Australia
