TFIT is seeking a
WasteWater Operator
which is accountable for assisting in the site based environmental team ensuring all programs are implemented.
A 100% Australian owned and operated Company, Thomas Foods International Tamworth (TFIT) is an industry leader in the small stock processing industry. The plant is one of three meat processing facilities owned and operated by Thomas Foods International and produces lamb & sheep products for domestic and export sale across 80 countries.

1x Day Shift - $***** per hour
1x Night Shift - $***** per hour
Job Requirements
Physically fit, able to manage own time.
Happy to regularly monitor pumps, tank levels, flow rates via SCADA/PLC etc.
Maintain/clean equipment as required.
Abilities
Maintain effective working relationships in a positive & constructive manner;
Prioritise tasks and be able to work well to deadlines & under pressure.
Duties and Responsibilities




Ensure all activities undertaken across our Tamworth Site are managed in accordance with EPA license commitments and government legislation.
Assist in regular environmental site inspections.
Notify site management of any environmental incidents & record as required.
Manage the ongoing operation of the wastewater treatment facility.
Assist maintenance team with routine maintenance/repair of treatment equipment.
Maintain cleanliness/housekeeping of all wastewater treatment areas.
Record and monitor daily, weekly and monthly water quality and biogas readings.
Assist in wastewater sampling, recording water quality & biogas readings.
